Who We Are
The Longwood Bradbury Progress Association (LBPA) is a volunteer-led community organisation dedicated to supporting and strengthening life in and around Longwood and Bradbury. Established in 1954, the Association exists to look after the interests of the local area, helping to build connection, wellbeing, and opportunity for everyone who calls this unique semi-rural community home.
Bringing People Together
At its heart, the LBPA brings people together. In a region without a traditional town centre, the Association plays a vital role in creating spaces for connection—whether through events, community initiatives, or the care and development of the historic Longwood Hall as a central gathering place.

Driven by a passionate team of volunteers, the LBPA works to foster a strong sense of belonging, celebrate local identity, and support the wellbeing and resilience of the community. Community members can get involved with the LBPA in many ways, whether by becoming a member, volunteering time, sharing ideas, or helping organise events and initiatives. The Association welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to contribute their skills, energy and perspectives. By joining in—at meetings, events or working groups—locals play an active role in shaping projects, strengthening connections and building a more vibrant, supportive community for everyone.
